POWERFUL ENGINES

The base engine on the 2021 Chevy Tahoe is a large, 5.3-liter V8 engine with an output of 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Going with the top-level High Country replaces the 5.3-liter V8 with the larger and more powerful 6.2-liter V8, which outputs 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

Although both V8s are carryovers from the previous production cycle, this model year marks the availability of a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 for those who want the option to save fuel.

IMPROVED HANDLING AND RIDE QUALITY

Chevrolet swaps the fourth-gen Tahoe model's live axle-and-leaf-spring configuration with an independent rear multilink suspension with coil springs. The result is a smoother ride and enhanced handling on any type of surface, in addition to more room in the second and third rows.
